According to crewmembers, the shoot got so stressful and out-of-control that director Alejandro G. Iñárritu barred producer James W. Skotchdopole from the set, which eventually prompted Skotchdopole to leave the production. Iñarritu eventually replaced him with producer Mary Parent. Skotchdopole had notably previously worked with Iñarritu on Birdman o (L'imprevedibile virtù dell'ignoranza) (2014).
