Il mondo segreto di Alex Mack
In the show's intro, Alex Mack uses her telekinetic powers to make objects fly in circles in her bedroom. This is a reference to the famous scene in the film in which E.T. makes objects in Elliot's bedroom float and spin in mid-air with his mind. Also the subplot of the chemical company searching for Alex Mack to "turn her into a science experiment" parallels the subplot of goverment agents relentlessly searching for E.T. for scientific experimentation.
