Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Turn, Turn, Turn
Coulson uses a sonic staff to launch a projectile that produces a sonic wave and takes out all the enemies. The same type of weapon was used in the exact same way by Simon Tam during the rescue of River Tam at the beginning of the movie Serenity (2005). Joss Whedon directed both Serenity and the Pilot Episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
