After the opening credits, a rather long scene is filmed in cinéma vérité style, with different sorts of men oggling a pretty woman walking the streets. This is a reference to the 14min episode Gli italiani si voltano, directed by Alberto Lattuada, that was presented also as a documentary, yet filmed with a handful of professional actresses, and actors. Thus, sacred neo-realism of 20 years past was already a creation of fakes
