Bumblebee

Both are science fiction comedies about a young woman who befriends a fugitive robot and teaches him how to adapt to life in eighties America while he hides from the military. Both films contain scenes where the robot dances with the human female, watches television and listens to pop music, seemingly dies following a confrontation with the military before returning to life, and eventually has to do battle with other robots of his own kind.
