After the pawn shop robbery there's a close-up of the bag of money. All of the straps around the bills are the same ($10,000) which would be correct if there were only $100 bills. To the lower right of the shot is a strap of $20's, and the band should show $2,000. Straps are printed with what would be 100 bills of a certain denomination, and are different colors for different bills.The mob does not conform to bank protocol. They had $10,000 bands, so that's what they used. The bricks of 20s are thicker (~2.5 inches), so they held the full ten Gs, albeit with incorrectly colored straps.
