It is but obvious Don knows from the start that the cop pursuing him, DCP De Silva, is none other than his arch nemesis Vardhan. Bearing in mind the kind of reach Don is shown to posses both inside and outside the law, he can easily expose Vardhan yet somehow refrains from it.
