After Jess emerges from the river with her injured foot, she uses a branch as a cane/crutch. But she uses it on the side of her good foot, not on the side of the injured foot, where she should have used it. A cane or crutch is used to bear one's weight on the injured side.This is incorrect, the cane should actually be used on the strong side, opposite of the leg needing support.
