Ben is shown selling his fancy Rolex wristwatch at a pawn shop for ready cash. Later, when he is at the blackjack table with Sera, he is clearly wearing a wristwatch. Just a bit later, outside a shop, he raises his arm to check the time on his wristwatch, but his wrist is bare - no watch present, since he'd sold it earlier.
