The solar system diagram showing the flare simulation is vastly out of scale. As shown, the sun in the diagram is approximately 60 million miles in diameter (instead of 0.9 million miles). Additionally, the flare is depicted as instantaneously affecting the planets; in reality it would take about 8 minutes to reach Earth.
