At the church fete, Nicholas has a go at the rifle range and proceeds to knock down a row of targets in quick succession. The only problem with this is that an air rifle actually only holds one pellet at a time: Nicholas would have had to reload the gun after every shot which he clearly does not. Similarly, Danny takes the gun after Nicholas has fired it and accidentally shoots Dr Hatcher in the leg, something he shouldn't have been able to do; having just been fired, the gun chamber would be empty.
