After Francis explains to Von and Richie that he doesn't want to kill either of them, he puts the M-16 down on the ottoman with the barrel facing in the direction he's exiting the room.After he leaves, the scene cuts to Richie and Von going for the gun. The barrel is now facing in the opposite direction.
