During the uncut version of 1408, Mike turns on the TV set in his hotel room and immediately has access to pornographic titles like "Housewife Orgy" and "Wild Cherries Unleashed". This is extremely unusual since most American hotels restrict the access to such content to keep young children staying in the rooms from accidentally viewing content that's graphic in nature. Even if the Dolphin Hotel were considered an exception to this, it's highly unlikely that the films would be given blatantly sexual titles because even if the films were restricted to adults only, children could still read the titles. Hotels usually have a password that unlocks such content and it's given discreetly to whomever booked the room. This way they don't have to be liable for children who view content that could be deemed offensive or vulgar. Many times gory horror films, films with racial slurs, films with nudity and films with profanity are also restricted via password.
