After the Marshall Islands attack, there is a segue to Honolulu with a title card saying "Officers' Club, Honolulu Hawaii". The club is brightly lit as is the city of Honolulu in the background. After the Pearl Harbor attack, there was a strict blackout: all outdoor lights were to be extinguished after dark and curtains were placed over windows/doors to prevent indoor light from escaping. A later shot showing the USS Nautilus getting ready to depart Pearl Harbor portrays the blackout conditions accurately.
