Father Vito Cornelius makes the sign of the cross before he hits Corbin Dallas over the head. He and all the other priests/monks are not Christian. There is not a single reference through the entire movie about god, jesus and there are no signs of a cross anywhere in the movie. Also, the pyramid and the monk from 800 years previously has no reference to christianity.
