While Peter Miller confronts Roschmann, he lights a cigarette and holds it in his right hand. Then the camera zooms and Roschmann is holding the cigarette in his left hand. Later, after Peter Miller shows Roschmann a photograph, Roschmann is seated and holding a mostly burned-down cigarette in his right hand. Following more dialogue and flashbacks, Roschmann stands up and he is holding a longer but still largely burned-down cigarette.
