When on the boat headed out to sea. it is stated that the 6th fleet is 25 miles out. Ghost sets the bomb for twenty minutes. It took at least 3-4 minutes to get out of the sewers and get the boat going. That means he had about 21 minutes to go 25 miles, or, to even get within 5 miles, 21 minutes to go 21 miles. He would have to average 60mph or faster to get close enough to be within a 5 mile circle to annihilate the 6th fleet. No way was he going that fast. Rapp could have dropped the nuke in the water and they would have been fine.
