A Bell 206 JetRanger is used as a police helicopter during the finale - the Houston Police Department operated the Hughes 300 (light duty observation) and 500. Schweizer Aircraft (later Sikorsky) continues to build the Hughes 300 and the 500 was rebranded as the MD500 (McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, now MD Helicopters since 1999 after Boeing divested the McDonnell Douglas civilian line of helicopters after the Boeing/McDonnell Douglas merger in 1997).
