Jake had good luck twice at the party, first being mistaken for the last dancer, allowing him to get in, then being kissed by Ashley. It was not in his character to have good luck before he received the kiss.But as these events led to he and Ashley meeting, this was good luck for her, who was the lucky one at the time.
