During the German air raid, three Brits are running toward an open doorway for cover. Just as the first get to the doorway, he wrenches as though he were hit by German strafing fire. But it is only as he falls out of view that the bullets hitting the ground can be seen, and that is behind him by about twenty yards. The machine-gun fire continues forward, hits the two men behind him, and only then moves toward the doorway and the man that it supposedly first killed in the sequence. Just a more modern-day version of putting the cart before the horse.
