Some time after the hit men shoot up most of the fresh melons stored in Majestyk's barn during his absence, Majestyk returns and loads the few undamaged melons into a trailer. He then tells his pal Larry to drive them to a purchaser in town. Yet when Larry gets there, the trailer contains more undamaged melons than there were in the whole pile before the shooting took place.
