It is stated that Christine Vole/Helm committed perjury. However, as was revealed later, her first testimony was in fact the truth. Leonard Vole lied about the time he came home and she correctly testifies that he came home at a later time. Then when she testifies that she wrote the deceitful letter which spoke of a fictitious man named Max, she again told the truth. Christine/Vole did not commit perjury but was an accessory to murder after the fact.However, she does not intend the barrister to reveal this. So she will be judged for perjury.
