(Around 1 hour and 16 minutes) just before the first arrow strikes Jake in his leg, you can see the strings on the left side of the screen that guide the arrows into his legs. The strings very visibly collapse with him as he goes down from the first arrow shot, then rise back up with him as he stands back up.
