When Frank falls backwards through the trucks glass, it crumbles into thousands of individual small pieces. While windshield automotive glass is tempered safety glass and designed to break into small, rounded pieces, they should stay together. Windshield safety glass has a plastic sheet in between two layers of tempered glass, so that while breaking, they do not shatter as a complete sheet.
