SPOILER: Leo Crow's actual death is a bit of a fallacy. Surely as a decorated police chief, John Anderton would be able to practice simple trigger discipline.It's understandable that during his fit of rage, Anderton would be less careful as he struggles with his temptation to murder who he thinks murdered his son, but after he regains his composure and attempts to arrest Crow, and especially after he learns the truth of Crow's identity/motivations, Anderton would practice better discipline, as he does not intend to so shoot Crow.However when the men struggle, and Crow pulls Anderton's pistol close to his gut, you can clearly see that Anderson's finger is still on his pistols trigger, which is ridiculous for a trained police officer.
