As Debbie tells the security guards that her "husband" put his shoes in the "gefrierschrank" (freezer), she says "Gestern, hat er seine Schuhe in den Gefrierschrank gestellt" ("Yesterday, he put his shoes in the freezer"), then says "Seine Schuhe ins Gefrierschrank" ("His shoes in the freezer"). "Gefrierschrank" is masculine, and can never be preceded by the accusative "ins" (the contraction for "in das"). Debbie changed the gender of "gefrierschrank" from masculine to neuter.
