In the incredibly tight shots inside the train, there are dozens of hinges that are attached with Phillips head screws. Although Phillips head screws were invented in 1932, they were not available for sale until 1936, two years after the the movie/book is set. And the Frearson screw, which can be mistaken for the Phillips, did not come out until the late 1930s.
