Upon entering the German trench, Albert sees several dead Germans wearing the M1917 leather gas mask, these were the standard German gas masks of the time this battle is set, however there is one German; the one lying upside down on the parados with the lobster armor on, who is wearing the M1917 ARS gas mask. This mask was only worn by the French army from 1917 onward.
