During the Japanese battle simulation the Americans are represented by three pieces indicating the Enterprise, Hornet and Yorktown. Historically there should have only been two since the Japanese were convinced that the Yorktown was not seaworthy due to the extensive damage it received at the Battle of the Coral Sea.
