When the Japanese scientist is reading out of the dinosaur book, he's supposedly describing the fictitious armored dinosaur Anguirus, but the book is written in English and you can see that the text pointing at the Anguirus picture (which was inserted into the book by the filmmakers) is actually about the duck-billed dinosaur called Trachodon.
