Harvey says the war will be over soon and talks about shutting down the league. Later, when Dottie is with her husband, the car has 1943 plates. The invasion of Europe did not take place until June of 1944 and up until that point the challenge was still extremely daunting. Harvey would never have talked about the war ending soon until months after the invasion.
