The scratch marks/rashes Paul leaves on Marcy's back while they're having sex should develop fastest at the fingertips (where the most pressure would've been applied) and slowest at the palms. This is the case during the part of the sex scene where Paul actually makes the marks, and later when the rashes begin to develop into weeping wounds, however in the scene in between, where Marcy first notices the rashes, their color is uniform.
