When Nath and Tibby swim to the opposite side of the pond, Teller is watching them from a wooded area. He is close enough to see them climb out, and he reacts when Tibby tells Nath that she likes to be kissed. However, when Meg calls them for dinner, a view of the opposite side of the pond shows that the nearest trees to be 50-60 yards from the pond.
