When Marty walked by the theater in 1955. Cattle Queen of Montana was playing. The movie was released on November 18, 1954. Marty arrived November 5, 1955.However, in the days of film prints it was quite common for it to take months to years for a new film to reach a small town theater like Hill Valley's as only a limited number of prints were made and distributed.
