Further injury and death occur inconsistently in this tale about people who are already dead. Onie can't self-harm with the knife as it won't slice through her skin, but Patricia is able to injure Seb by slamming his hand in a door and later stabs him to death with a knife, from which he soon recovers. Seb then breaks the back of Patricia and she seems to be permanently injured by that.
