On the train, Sugar implies that she's from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, where her father is a conductor on the Baltimore & Ohio (railroad). The railroad in Upper Sandusky at that time was the Chesapeake & Ohio. Later, when Sugar receives the flowers from Shell, Jr. (really Osgood's) she says she's from Sandusky, not Upper Sandusky.
