When the young Warren Worthington is in the bathroom at the beginning of the movie, his father asks him to open the door "right now"; in the intervening shots before and after the father breaks down the door, it can be clearly seen the door has no lock what so ever, meaning the father could have opened the door at any time *without* breaking the lock.
