Sebastian's size is incredibly inconsistent. When Ariel first turns human, Flounder and Sebastian help her to the surface and to the shore by supporting her under her arms; he would have to be a pretty large crab to support her. Later, when Chef Louie is trying to cook him, he picks Sebastian up between his thumb and forefinger, and Sebastian appears to be a very tiny crab, not one worth cooking and eating at all. Later, when Ariel thinks she's getting married, she picks him up and holds him in both her hands, where he fits fairly well and does not appear nearly so small.
