During the opening credits, a train crosses a steel railway trestle. Trestles in the wild west at that time would have been constructed of wood. Even had metal been available, the modern high strength structural steel members used to construct the bridge as shown are much more slender in cross-section than members composed of metals available in the 1800s would have been.
