As Porthos, Aramis, Athos, & D'Artagnan are riding away in the Cardinal's carriage from D'Artagnan's failed public execution, Porthos is holding a bottle of wine in his hand. He remarks to D'Artagnan, "You can't have any, you're too young".However, in a later scene in a tavern, D'Artagnan is twice given alcohol in a flagon, once by an unknown person, the second time by Athos.
