When escaping the mental hospital, it is shown there are two elevators next to each other in the hall. When John and the Terminator enter the hall they come out the elevator on the left. When the characters escape they use the elevator on the right to access the underground parking lot then run past the Terminators motorbike parked beside the lift showing they entered this way. But as they drive away in the police car the shot of the T-1000 running out of the elevator shows there is no second elevator to the left or right of this one for John and the Terminator to use entering earlier.
