At the beginning of the kidnapping mission Col. Kirby/John Wayne is acting as jump master on the Caribou aircraft. He has his M-16 loosely hanging off his left shoulder as he marshals the other team members off the aircraft ramp into the air. His weapon should be secured during this time. When Col. Kirby jumps his M-16 has disappeared and upon landing suddenly reappears.
