While much of the geography sounds real, it is mostly nonsense. Appleby and Trent, two place names mentioned in the film are places in Ontario, the distances given do not match with their actual locations. Likewise, while Highway 27 is a provincial highway, it's location doesn't correspond to the places mentioned.
