After the whisperers "kidnap" the kids at the gas station, Diana takes someone else's car and after a while crash happens. It's illogical that John found her in the instant; he didn't know what car she was driving after the children were taken.
--Except that John drove in the direction indicated by the gas station employee, and shortly came upon the same intersection the major car accident had occurred, which was hard to miss. He pulled up to the scene of the accident and discovered Diana was the victim.
