When Don throws his suitcase towards Jayraj there is a blast and both Jayraj and his pattern are engulfed in flames. In the very next shot Don's car emerges from the flames from the same blast. It would have been impossible for Don to throw the bag, get in the car and drive his car through the flames from the blast with in such a short time.
