(at around 1h 40 mins) When Zod, Ursa, and Non are blowing people and cars all over the place, several little dolls are being pulled along a track on the model sidewalks, in front of the buildings, to represent the people being blown down the street. A few model cars slam directly into the dolls, and they pop right back up.
