Ensign Dorne committed suicide due to reason believing she was pregnant. The time-line seems too short to suspect being pregnant from the time of the rape. Cmdr./Capt. Eddington still has the fresh scratch marks on his face from his attack in scene when Adr. Torrey gets the call about Ens. Dorne's death.
