Mr. Switzer claims it's the engine on the left side of the aircraft (engine #1) that flamed out on final approach. The plane crash re-enactment also shows the plane veering towards the left, a normal reaction to a left engine flame out. However, all subsequent reports and even Greg, on the cockpit voice recorder, mention that it's engine #2 (right side) that flamed out.
