In the opening scene, one of Doc Brown's inventions dumps a can of dog food into Einstein's dog bowl. The overflowing bowl establishes that many cans of dog food have been dumped into the bowl while Doc has been away. However, the magnet that pulls the top from the opened can has no previous tops attached to it nor any accessory to remove tops from the magnet.
