When Judy and Nick reconcile with a hug, Nick says that Judy is standing on his tail. This is just an excuse to break the proximity, because a few moments before we can see Nick's tail lying behind him, and it stays there and neither of them is moving, so there is no way for Judy to stand on his tail.
